TWO POLICE OFFICERS ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY STEALING TILES IN CROSS RIVER

Two Police Officers, Vincent Ayade and Okoi Otu have been arrested for allegedly stealing 64 cartons of tiles from the Canadian University in Obudu, Cross River State.

This was confirmed by the Commissioner of Police in Cross River State, Aminu Alhassan in a statement signed by Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Irene Ugbo.

According to him, the policemen are undergoing an orderly room trial, as further investigation was ongoing over the allegations.

He said “the trial is as stipulated in the Police Act and Regulation.

“The duo have abused and defiled their rule of engagement as well as the extant laws of the land.”

The statement further disclosed that four more suspects connected with the said crime will be arraigned in court soon.
