An Osun State High Court in Osogbo has turned down the no-case submission filed by counsels to Dr Rahmon Adedoyin and six others who are being tried over the alleged murder of Timothy Adegoke a Master’s student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife.
BCOS reporter, Dupe Fehintola who was in Osogbo reports that in a ruling, the presiding Judge, Justice Adepele Ojo said having reviewed all the evidence before the court, a prima facie case has been established against the defendants.
To this end, Justice Adepele Ojo who is also the Chief Judge of Osun State called on the Prosecution Counsel to open charges against the defence.
She however made it clear that her ruling did not say that the defendants are guilty or not guilty of the offences which they were charged with.
Counsel to the defendants, Kehinde Eleja SAN and Murtala Abdur-Rasheed SAN prayed the court to give them time to prepare for their defence.
