STAKEHOLDERS APPLAUD OSUN GUBER POLL AS VIABLE TEMPLATE FOR 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS

The 2022 Governorship election held in Osun state will be a good yardstick to measure the preparedness of the INEC for the 2023 general elections.

It was gathered that the election was free fair and devoid of rancour.

The accreditation and voting exercise commenced as early as 8.30 am due to early arrival of voting materials to polling units unlike in the past elections where voting materials will not be available till 12 noon.T

The process for voting was seamless, a potential voter will go through the displayed voters list and present his PVC for Accreditation and will inturn be identified either through the finger prints or facial identification with the new BIVAS technology.

There and then a voter will be issued with ballot paper for thumb printing and dropping into the ballot box.

The new technology has also renderd useless the use of political thugs to snatch ballot boxes as the new BIVAS technology automatically transmit the vote cast to INEC portal for keep.

A one time Governorship candidate in Osun state Chief Ladosu Ladiipo was sited at ifelodun local government ikirun said the election was free and fair stating that the outcome of this election will be generally acceptable to all and sundry.

BCOS crew also visited Iragbiji Boripe local government Ward 1 unit 2 where Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and his wife cast their vote.

In Ilobu the hqtrs of irepodun local government the voting exercise was also peaceful and devoid of any violence.

At Ilobu BCOS crew also encountered a reknown islamic preacher Malam Yusuff Adepoju who expressed confidence in the ability of INEC to conduct the 2023 general elections judging by the INEC performance in the Osun gubernatorial election.
