“Rising Cases Of Rape, Other Sexual Crimes Are Mostly To Get Rich Quickly Through Diabolical Means” -Former Chief Judge, Social Worker

Former Chief Judge of Oyo State, Retired Justice Badejoko Adeniji and a Social Worker; Comrade Kehinde Akinyemi have attributed the rising cases of rape and other sexual crimes to the get-rich quick syndrome through diabolical means.

According to them, most of the cases of rape and other sexual crimes in the society are being perpetrated by youths who engage in the get-rich through any means syndrome, which includes ritual killings and other evil deeds.

Justice Adeniji and Comrade Akinyemi disclosed this in Ibadan on Monday, June 8, 2020, while fielding questions on the BCOS Yoruba language Daily Radio Network Programme, ‘Ọ̀rọ̀ Tó Ń Lọ’.

In her contribution, Justice Adeniji called on the victims of rape cases and their parents not to be ashamed of going to Court to seek justice; stressing that the laws of the land and the Judiciary are up to the task at punishing anyone that is proved to be involved in rape cases.

In his contribution, Comrade Akinyemi, who pointed that most rape cases are committed mostly by neighbours, relatives and acquittance, charged parents and vulnerable ones to be vigilant.
