The Osun State Coordinator of #Revolutionnow Movement, Olawale Bakare, has been released from detention.
Bakare who popularly known as ‘Mandate’, was arrested last Wednesday, August 5, by the Department of State Services, for leading the #RevolutionNow protest in Osogbo, Osun State.
Bakare was released alongside three others who were also detained for participating in the protest.
According to The Punch, Bakare’s lawyer, Alfred Adegoke, disclosed that their release was delayed on the grounds of presenting a parent or guardian.
Adegoke said, “All of them have been released including Olawale Bakare. Others were released to their parents or guardians.
“But I stood for Bakare because his parents died a long time ago. I read the bail bond and the main condition given was that the Bakare should not cause any trouble or act against public peace.
“Apart from the three of them that were released last Thursday, others in the custody of DSS have been released too.”
