Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has donated a brand new bus to Alfa Uthman Sannu Sheu for the propagation of D’awah.
Governor Makinde donated the bus at the 8th Omituntun Annual Ramadan lecture, held on Tuesday at the Government House Arcade, Agodi, Ibadan.
The Governor who pledged hajj slots to the Muslim community, reassured his commitment towards sustaining religious harmony and peaceful coexistence in the state.
He called on those hiding under the guise of religion to cause disharmony to desist in the interest of peace and progress of the state.
He also charged religious leaders to always seek truth in any rumour initiated by mongers before reacting.
“So, I want to urge our leaders and clerics to always ask for correct data when some critics come to you with erroneous data.
“On the Hajj pilgrimage, we will send few people to go on the journey.”
The guest lecturers, Alfa Uthman Sannu Sheu and chairman of pilgrims welfare board (Muslim wing) Professor Sayeed Malik urged the Governor to the people’s hope alive by continual fulfilment of his promises.
