POLICE LAUNCH MANHUNT AS GUNMEN KILL APC CHAIRMAN IN OSUN

Gunmen on Monday murdered the All Progressives Congress(APC) chairman, Chief Gbenga Ogbara, in Atakunmosa East Local Council Development Area of Osun State.

It was gathered that the gunmen invaded his house at Igangan in the midnight and shot him in his sitting room.

The incident caused panic in the area as police operatives evacuated his corpse and deposited at Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesha.

Osun Police spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident to journalists, noting that operatives have been drafted to the area.

She said: “The APC chairman was killed around 12am by some gunmen.

“Policemen have since been deployed to the area. Investigation is ongoing on the matter. The criminals will not escape justice.”
