The remains of the immediate past Governor of Oyo State, Senator Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi, have been interred at his Oluyole Estate residence in Ibadan.
The late Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was laid to rest privately in the presence of family members and invited clerics, as the burial rites was performed by the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh AbdulGaniy Abubakry, who was supported by a renowned Islamic preacher, Sheikh Muyideen Bello and Alhaji Kunle Sanni, the Chairman, Muslim Community of Oyo State
It would be recalled that Senator Abiola Ajimobi, aged 70, was confirmed dead at a Lagos-based hospital on Thursday, June 25, 2020.
Some dignitaries present at the burial include: Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje; the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr Sunday Dare; the APC governorship candidate in the 2019 general election, Chief Adebayo Adelabu; wife of former Oyo State Gov. Adebayo Alao-Akala, Chief Kemi Alao-Akala; Senator Teslim Folarin; Chief Kola Daisi; Sen. Abdulfatai Buhari, Rep. Shina Peller, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye, Mr Olamiju Alao-Akala and some former members of the Ajimobi cabinet.
