Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has urged delegates to the South-West Zonal Congress of the PDP to be orderly and allow for a peaceful conduct of the congress taking place in Osogbo, Osun State.
Governor Seyi Makinde who spoke to Journalists at the venue of the Congress to elect leaders of the Party in the South-West Zone, expressed optimism that the PDP will make significant political impact in the rest of the country if it gets things right in the South-West.
The Governor also drummed support for the emergence of former Deputy Governor, Mr Taofeek Arapaja as the South-West PDP Chairman.
Some of the Oyo State delegates including Senator Kola Balogun and Alhaja Mutiat Olayinka Ladoja admonished other Delegates to work together for the advancement of the Party.
Other State delegates at the PDP South-West Congress are the Deputy Governor, Engr Rauf Olaniyan, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin and former Minister of Power and Steel, Elder Wole Oyelese, among others.
