 OYSG COVID-19 Decontamination/Containment Project Team Reaches BCOS

In fulfilment of its promise that all Government Offices, Parastatals and major Markets in the State will be decontaminated from Coronavirus droplets, the Oyo State COVID-19 Decontamination/Containment Project Team was at the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, BCOS, to decontaminate all its premises.

The Team, led by an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health, University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan, Dr Femi Olatoye, was at the Ile-Akede, Orita Basorun premise and Old-Ife Road Transmitting Station of the Corporation on Saturday, April 25, 2020, for the exercise.

According to the Team Leader, the decontamination is one of the exercises of the State Government to disinfect the Corporation from any Coronavirus contamination or any other source of microbial Infections.

Dr Olatoye noted that the Public Health Department of the University College Hospital, University of Ibadan, is partnering the State Government to help disinfect the it, as their contribution to contain any virus.

The Executive Chairman of the BCOS, Prince Dotun Oyelade, who received the Project Team in company of other Managerial Staff, lauded the State Government for having the love of workers at heart and for also fulfilling its promise.

Prince Oyelade also appreciated the Team for a job well done with all zeal, noting that the Team really put their Professionalism into play during the exercise.

It would be recalled that the BCOS had, on Friday, April 24, 2020, informed its listeners and viewers that the Corporation will be shut from 10a.m on Saturday, April 25, to 3a.m on Sunday, April 26, 2020, to give room for an effective decontamination.
