Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has charged members of Man O’ War Nigeria, to double their efforts in projecting citizenship and leadership roles in the society.
Governor Makinde gave the charge while receiving the National Leaders of the voluntary organization who came on courtesy visit to him in his Office on Thursday, April 29, 2021.
The Governor said he appreciated the roles played by Man O’ War during the electioneering campaigns in 2015 and 2019; promising to keep supporting Man O’ War in the discharge of their duties.
Engr Makinde noted that his administration plans to engage Officers of the Man O’ War Nigeria to assist in providing security and surveillance for Primary and Secondary Schools in the State; explaining that the recent trend of kidnapping of students, among other security challenges, has become worrisome.
Earlier in his remarks, the Deputy National Commandant, Mr Adedamola Gbenga, who represented the National Commandant of Man O’ War, thanked Governor Makinde for always being supportive to the organization.
