A new Commissioner of Police has been posted to Oyo State following the promotion of the former Commissioner of police, Mrs Ngozi Onadeko to the rank of an Assistant Inspector General of Police and deployed to police armament.

This was contained in a press release e- signed by the Oyo state police public relations officer, SP Adewale Osifeso made available to the BCOS crime reporter, Shade Seye-Ojo.

The new Commissioner of police is Adebowale Williams, who hails from Akure North LGA Ondo State and was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in 1992.

CP Adebowale Williams is a thoroughbred professional with a record of 30 years stellar working experience spanning across administration, intelligence, operations and public relations.

The new CP holds a in Political Science, M.Sc in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution and an LLB in Law. He is also fellow of the National Defence College and a distinguished member of the Nigeria Institute of Management.

 He was Area Commander, Kontagora, Niger State, an active member of the IGP Special Investigation Unit, Staff Officer Federal Operations, Director Professional Studies Police Staff College Jos and CP FCID Annex, Gombe.

Adewole Williams succeeds AIG Ngozi Onadeko, as the Oyo State Police Command’s 44th Commissioner of Police effective 17th June, 2022.
