The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) primary elections conducted in Ibadan North Federal Constituency has been concluded.
BCOS correspondent who monitored the exercise reported that the process was devoid of violence.
37 delegates voted in the primaries, with Mr. Lanre Sarumi emerging as the Party’s Candidate with 15 votes.
Speaking with BCOS News immediately after he was declared Winner, Mr. Lanre Sarumi said there is no loser as all aspirants are interested in the good of the people of Oyo State and the electoral progress of the PDP.
In the Ido / Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, serving House of Reps Member, Hon. Yemi Taiwo was returned with 61 votes from the 61 delegates, leaving his opponent with nil votes.
Hon. Yemi Taiwo while speaking with BCOS Reporter said the primaries shows PDP as a peaceful party that can take the country to greater heights.
