OYO LOSES EX-ATISBO LG BOSS, AKOGUN TO ACCIDENT

The immediate past chairman of Atisbo Local Government Area, Oyo State, Wasiu Owolabi Akogun has died at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, after being involved in a ghastly motor accident last Thursday.

Akogun as he is fondly called, reportedly died on Monday in Ilorin at about 9:15pm, owing to pain and fractures from multiple injuries he sustained in the accident.

Reports say the accident involved his Lexus Jeep at Igbeti, along Saki-Ilorin Road, on his way to Al-Hikimah University, where he was running his postgraduate diploma in International Relations.

The Oyo APC Chieftain who clocked 40 last year October, is survived by family, wife and children.
