 Oyo Govt To Boost IGR with ₦500m From Gaming, Lottery

Oyo State Gaming Board has reiterated its commitment to curb irresponsible gaming addiction that is detrimental to the society.

The Director General of the Board, Mr Jide Boladuro, stated this at a press briefing held on Friday, March 20, 2020, at Governor’s Office, Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan.

He said the Board will work harmoniously with all Operators on the need to adhere strictly to the rule and regulations of gaming.

According to him, the Board is also planning to increase its revenue generation from 200 million naira to 500 million naira in a way that would protect consumers and keep lottery fair and safe.

Mr Boladuro also highlighted some of the mandate of the Board including building public and consumer trust necessary for long term sustainability and growth in the market.
