 Oyo Govt Postpones Workers’ Resumption; Makes Use Of Face Mask Compulsory

Oyo State Government has postponed the resumption of State workers from Monday, April 20, to Monday, April 27, 2020.

The State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, stated this on Friday, April 17, 2020, at the Government House, Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan, while briefing Journalists on the state of COVID-19 in the State.

The Governor added that with the provision of testing Centre at Adamasingba Complex, the State Government has considered the use of Maternal Health Centre, Saki and General Hospital, Igboora as Infectious Disease Centres to complement the existing ones.

Governor Makinde also noted that wearing of face mask is now compulsory in the State to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

BCOS Governor’s Office Correspondent, Olamiposi Ishola, reports that the production of the One million face mask will commence on Monday, April 20, 2020.
