 Oyo Govt Launches State Crime Alert System Application; Upgrades CCTV Unit  For Emergency Rescue Mission

Oyo State Government has launched State Crime Alert System Application and Upgraded the Camera Circuit Television, CCTV, Unit for emergency rescue Mission.

The State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, while commissioning the project on Thursday, June 18, 2020, reiterated his administration’s commitment to protect the lives and properties of every citizen in the State.

According to BCOS Governor’s Office Correspondent, Olamiposi Ishola, who was at the Oyo State Security Trust Fund, Onireke, Ibadan, venue of the event, the Governor explained that the newly equipped Security Control Room and establishment of State Crime Alert platform will assist Security Operatives in their operations.

Earlier in his address, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, Retired Compol Fatai Owoseni, said the upgraded CCTV gadgets at the Centre will cover most strategic areas in Ibadan metropolis.

The report added that the State Crime Alert App is free and will enhance prompt response of Security Operatives for emergency rescue mission.

It would be recalled that the present administration had earlier stated its four pillars which includes Security, and at such, provided hundreds of vehicles for Security Agencies and established the security outfits codenamed ‘Amotekun’.
