As part of its efforts to improve the security sector of the State, the Oyo State Government has approved a sum of six hundred and three million, eight hundred and eighty-one thousand, two hundred and fifty Naira (₦603,881,250) for the procurement of 25 Jack Pick up vehicles for the security operatives in the State.

The State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun, gave the hint on Tuesday while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the State Executive meeting, presided over by Governor Seyi Makinde.

Dr Olatunbosun also revealed that another one hundred and seventy-five million, four hundred and ninety-eight thousand and fifty Naira (₦175,498,050) was approved to purchase security equipment for the State Joint Security Task Force (Operation Burst), in order to enhance and protect operation of the security outfit.

The Commissioner also reaffirmed the forthcoming commissioning of Idi-Ape – Bashorun – Odogbo Barracks Road dualization project by the Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, on Thursday.

The Press Briefing was attended by the Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor, Mr Taiwo Adisa.
