The Oyo State House of Assembly has called on Security Agencies including Amotekun to beef up security at the Old Oyo National Park as well as Yawota village in Oriire State Constituency.
This was the sequel to a strange movement between the village and the Old Oyo National Park by yet-to-be-identified men.
The call was made by a lawmaker representing Oriire state constituency Hon. Abidoye Bamigboye when expressing concern over the safety of the people of Oriire local Government and particularly the people of Yawota village and its environs over the strange movement of unknown men.
Hon Bamigboye added that there is a need for urgent action from Security Agencies to avoid having bandits, kidnappers and terrorists in the Old Oyo National Park who may end up causing problems for the community.
The State Assembly also deliberated on the need to eulogize Ogundare Foyanmu an unsung hero, ten years after his death.
The motion was presented by the majority leader Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, who extolled the virtue of the late indigenous ijala musician.
