In view of the global spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Oyo State Government has postponed the Oyo Agribusiness Summit earlier scheduled for March 29th to 31st, 2020.
The postponement of the Summit which was to hold at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan, Oyo State, was subsequent to the meeting of Stakeholders and entire Management Team.
According to a statement released by the Business Development Executive of the Summit, the postponement is due to the developing COVID-19 outbreak which have led to international travel restrictions and ban on large gatherings.
The statement noted that: “we have had to take this tough and painful decision because no matter how prepared we are, with the health and safety precautions we had planned to take, the welfare of our Delegates, Exhibitors, Guests, Visitors, Staff Team and all involved remain our major concern.
It added that: “our health and safety Team are monitoring the situation and we will communicate with you once a new date is fixed. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused”.
