As the super Eagles of Nigeria were grouped with their counterparts from Cape Verde, Liberia and Central Africa Republic in the qualification race for 2022 World Cup in Qatar, football pundits have predicted that Nigeria stand a good chance of qualifying for the Mundial.
The pundits Mr Goke Ojo and Mr John Udofia, while featuring on the Oluyole FM discussion programme breakfast fiesta today, January 31, 2020, however said Nigeria’s desire to get Qatar 2022 ticket might not be easy.
Mr Udofia, who expressed worry about Super Eagles present dismal preparations for the qualification games, voiced out that the Super Eagles road to Qatar 2022 might be rough and tough.
In his comments, Mr Goke Ojo charged the Super Eagles Manager Gernot Rohr to continue his job and urged the Franco-German coach to stay more in Nigeria and bring in more home based players into the senior National team.
The two pundits also tipped Africa’s football power houses like Cameroon, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Ghana, South Africa, Senegal and Morocco to qualify for the play off stage of the 2022 World Cup qualification race.
