A legal luminary, Alhaji Kazeem Gbadamosi (SAN), has observed that the recent state pardon granted two former governors convicted for stealing about 2.7 billion naira will promote corruption among the youths.
Gbadamosi who however described the presidential pardon granted former governor Joshua Dariye of Plateau State and former governor Jolly Nyame of Taraba state as a normal process in the constitution, pointed out that the president and any of the 36 state governors have the constitutional powers to pardon anyone convicted of any wrongdoings in the country.
