The Federal Government, on Wednesday, said it has solved the power outage being experienced across the country.
The Minister of Power, Abubakar Aliyu, disclosed this while briefing State House Correspondents after the week’s virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Abubakar told newsmen that the grid is back and the Government is trying to get more megawatts to push on the grid, as small committees have also been set up for this purpose. He also attributed the recurrent nationwide blackout to pipeline vandalisation which supplies gas to the power plants, grid collapses among other challenges in the power sector.
The government solicited the support of all Nigerians at this time while reassuring that efforts will continue to increase and stabilize the electricity supply across Nigeria.
