Loyalists of the newly appointed Chairman, Lagos Parks And Garages Committee, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo, and those of the Lagos State Chairman of the Tricycle Owners and Operators Association of Nigeria (TOOAN), Alhaji Azeez Abiola, commonly called Istijabah on Monday, had a clash at Fagba area in Lagos.
Residents were said to have fled the area as the alleged loyalists of both men armed with guns and machetes went on rampage, attacking innocent bystanders.
Other affected areas were Ogba, Ifako, and Pen Cinema where people were injured.
Three people were also reportedly killed, although no official confirmation of this has been made from the Police or any security agency.
According to reports, the incident occurred in a bid by the loyalists of the suspended Chairman to officially take over the parks from NURTW but this was met with resistance by those who were previously in charge of the areas.
The Lagos State Chairman of TOOAN, Alhaji Azeez Abiola, had earlier alerted security operatives of imminent danger in the state.
