Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde on Monday returned to the Agodi State Secretariat, Ibadan to resume his statutory duty after three weeks of annual leave.
On his arrival Governor Makinde was received by his deputy, Barrister Bayo Lawal, the Secretary to the state Government, Mrs Olubamiwo Adeosun, the deputy state deputy speaker, hon. Muhammad Fadeyi, the head of service, Alhaja Ololoade Agboola, the chief of Staff, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi. Commissioners and Political Appointees.
In his welcome address the deputy governor, Bayo Lawal, who acted in the governor’s absence, noted that the responsibility of handling the affairs of the state were enormous while the Governor was away. He however, thanked the people of the state for their cooperation.
Special prayers were offered for the Governor and the State at large by the chairman of pilgrim welfare boards (Muslim and Christian wings) Professor Sayed Malik and Bishop Ademola Morakinyo.
