Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, has assured the State workers that his administration would never allow injustice to prevail in the State Civil/ Public Service bureaucratic setting.
Governor Makinde gave the assurance during the 2020 Oyo State Productivity Day tagged ‘Most Efficient Civil/ Public Servants Merit Award’, held at the International Conference Centre University of Ibadan, on Thursday, August 19, 2021.
Addressing the State workers at the event, Governor Seyi Makinde congratulated the awardees for serving the State meritoriously, expressing confidence that his administration has been able to prove doubters wrong by paying and sustaining the workers’ salaries on every 25th of the month in the last two years.
The elated Governor who reiterated his commitment to continue the payment of 13th month salaries, vowed never to sacrifice merit and competence for mediocrity based on political expediency within the civil and public service.
Governor Makinde, who appreciated the State Head of Service, Alhaja Oloolade Agboola and the entire planning Committee members for a job well done, charged the award recipients not to relent and be more diligent in discharging their duties.
The Broadcasting Cooperation of Oyo State, BCOS, was adjudged the Most Efficient Corporation while a BCOS member of Staff, Mrs. Temitope Salau was also awarded.
