Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has described the late multi-talented Singer, Lanre Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan as a shining light who impacted positively on Society with his Music.
This was contained in a statement by the Special Assistant (Print Media) to the Governor, Mr Moses Alao, on Sunday, July 11, 2021.
While commiserating with the bereaved Family of Mr Fasisi who was an indigene of Iseyin in the Oke-Ogun Area of the State, Governor Makinde described the deceased as a humble, unassuming Personality.
He further described Sound Sultan as a great Ambassador of the State, and urged the Youths to borrow a leaf from him on how to manage fame.
Mr Lanre Fasasi, aka Sound Sultan died of throat cancer on Sunday at the age of 44.
He has since been buried in New Jersey, United States of America according to Islamic rites.
