The State Assembly has approved 22 days vacation for Governor Seyi Makinde, as the number one Citizen will be handing over to the Deputy Governor, Chief Bayo Lawal.
The approval of the 22 days vacation was sequel to a letter forwarded by Governor Seyi Makinde to the state Assembly and read by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin on the floor of the house.
According to the letter personally signed by the state Governor, he will be proceeding on vacation from 11th Aug till 2nd September, 2022.
He added that the state Deputy Governor will be in charge of the administration of the state during the period of the vacation.
BCOS House of Assembly correspondent also reported that the state Assembly nominated Hon. Akintunde Olajide representing Lagelu state Constituency to be the Chairman House of Assembly Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters following the demise of Hon. Olusegun Popoola.
