Sequel to the move of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde to donate additional operational patrol vans to the Oyo state security network agency code named Amotekun, 100 operational vehicles, have been distributed to different local government areas
The Patrol vehicles were distributed to the 33 local governments at the event which was held at the operational headquarters of the Amotekun Corps Moniya Road, Ibadan.
The handing over was done by the Chairman of the Agency, General Kunle Toogun to each of the 33 local government areas in the state.
Speaking earlier, General Toogun noted that there is a plot by some people to take over Yoruba land hence the need for everyone to be on the alert security-wise.
The state commandant of the Amotekun Corp Col Olayinka Olayangu explained the modalities involved in getting the vehicles and their distribution as he conducted guests around the headquarters facilities
Some of the chairmen of Local Government spoke with the BCOS news on the distribution of the operational vehicles
The programme was attended by the Onpetu of Ijeru Land, Oba Sunday Oyediran, and the commissioner for Local and Chieftaincy matter Chief Bayo Lawal, Retired Commodore Rasaaq Babalola, representative of the Oyo state commandant of NSCDC and other security stakeholders.
