The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has again charged members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) across the Nation to keep striving and maintaining their focus on salvaging the nation from its predicament.
Governor Makinde gave the charge while hosting a Presidential aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and former Senate President, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, who was in Ibadan, the State capital, to meet with PDP South-West delegates ahead of the Party’s National Convention slated for this month.
Addressing Senator Ayim and his entourage, Governor Makinde described PDP South-West delegates as diligent people who are solely interested in the progress of the Party and the nation at large.
Governor Makinde, who expressed confidence that Senator Anyim is eminently qualified to lead the nation, stressed the need for PDP to keep seeking for alignment to go for convention with a united house.
In his remarks, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, said choosing the right leaders to lead the country in the next general election will chart a new course for the Country to tackle the economic and socio-political challenges it’s facing; adding that his experience in three arms of Government would play out to chart a new direction for the nation if given the opportunity.
