The Global President of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Alumni, Mr. Solomon Onilede, has assured that the issue of strike within the institution will be over in the next couple of weeks.
Mr. Onilede stated this while briefing journalists on the outcome of the closed-door meeting held with the State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde and some other stakeholders at the State Government House, Agodi, Ibadan.
Mr. Onilede, who expressed satisfaction over the outcome of the meeting, said other issues relating to the renaming of the institution would be addressed permanently in their subsequent meetings.
He however appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde for showing love and investing so much in the institution.
The meeting which came up on Thursday night and ended in the early hours of Friday, had in attendance, the former Military Governor of the State, General Oladayo Popoola (rtd), the State Deputy Governor, Chief Bayo Lawal, the Olugbon of Orilegbon, Oba Francis Alao, the Chairman LAUTECH governing council, Professor Ayodeji Omole, members of the governing council and other eminent personalities.
