The City of Ibadan and its environs will soon be free from incessant flowing that had ravaged it in the past years.
The Project Coordinator, Ibadan Urban Flood Management Project, Mr Dayo Ayorinde made this known when he led members of the Project Management on a courtesy visit to the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, BCOS.
Speaking during the visit, the Project Coordinator said their courtesy visit is very necessary in order to share with the Station their programmes since the project was inaugurated five years ago, and also to partner with BCOS towards enlightening the public on how flood could be eradicated in Ibadan in the coming years.
Mr Ayorinde who said flooding has subsided in Ibadan, expressed optimism that Ibadan will soon be free from incessant flooding if members of the public can adhere strictly to rules and regulations guiding Town Planning and Sanitation.
In his response, the Executive Chairman of the BCOS, Prince DOtun Oyelade, who was represented by the Director of Commercial Services, Mr Peter Ajayi, thanked the Management of IUFMP for choosing BCOS as the intermedian that can project their activities to the public.
He promised that the Station would give them its maximum support in order to eradicate flood in Ibadan and its environs.
The Team later presented their journals, magazines and jotters that reveals their activities to BCOS Management before a photo session.
The meeting was attended by members of BCOS Management and Management members of Ibadan Urban Flood Management Project.
