 Introduce Disaster Management In School Curriculum – NEMA Urges FG

National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has urged the federal government to introduce Disaster Management as compulsory courses in tertiary institutions.

NEMA head of Imo/Abia operations office, Mr. Evans Ugoh  who made the proposal during a joint disaster stakeholders meeting organized by NEMA on Monday said the move is necessary in view of the rising incidences of disaster in the country.

He said: “If disaster management is part of universities and polytechnics degree and diploma courses, it would help in facilitating efficiency in disaster management.

Also, the NEMA official while speaking on the management of coronavirus, said federal government  is working tirelessly with  the health ministry and the Nigerian Center for Disease Control halt the virus and prevent the spread  in the nation.
