 Inter-Faith Service: No Worker Will Earn Below National Minimum Wage – Gov. Makinde Assures

The Executive Governor of Oyo State,Engr. Seyi Makinde, has assured that no worker in the state will earn below the national minimum wage

The Governor gave the assurance during the Inter religious service to usher in year 2020 which held at the car park Governor’s office Agodi government Secretariat Ibadan.

The Governor’s Office Correspondent, Olamiposi Ishola reports that the annual Inter Religious Service provided opportunities for Civil and Public Service in Oyo state to worship and praise God  in both Islam and Christian ways.

Governor Makinde in his remarks appreciated workers for their  tremendous support , dedication and efficiency to the service in the out gone 2019

Earlier in her address of  welcome the Oyo State Head of Service , Mrs Amidat Agboola said  Government has promised to revive capacity development by encouraging training and retraining of Staff for better service delivery.

 She appreciated  Gov. Makinde for giving  priority to the welfare of workers in Oyo State through regular payment of salaries and allowances as well as approval of the  sum of 15 million Naira for each Ministry to renovate their offices for effective service delivery

Sermon was delivered in Muslim way The Chief Imam of Agodi government house Mosque Sheikh Adebayo Ahmada- Rufai while the Chaplain of Government Chapel Pastor Lai Adisa delivered sermon in Christian way.

The inter-faith service is an annual religious gathering held by the state civil servants to appreciate God for the outgone year and look forward for rewarding  new year.
