In continuation of the efforts of Oyo State Government to find lasting solution to the issue of kidnapping, as well as farmers and herders clashes in Ibarapaland, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly has held a meeting with royal fathers, and community leaders in Ibarapaland.
Speaking on behalf of the royal institution in the zone, the Onilala of Lanlate, Oba Sunday Oladejo and the Asigangan of Igangan, Oba Olawuyi Adeoye, urged the State Government to give royal fathers in the zone a leverage to contribute to security situation of the zone.
Some of the community Leaders called on the State Government to give priority to Amotekun Corps by empowering them with sophisticated weapons.
The Executive Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Security, rtd CP Sunday Odukoya and the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Adebo Ogundoyin notified the royal fathers and the community Leaders of the efforts of the present administration in area of security.
It would be recalled that Ibarapaland has been in the News in recent time for kidnapping, as well as farmers and herders clashes.
