American rapper, Cardi B, appears to have deleted her Twitter account after being criticised by fans for not attending the 2022 Grammys.
The 29-year-old rapper deactivated her account on Sunday (3 April).
The ‘I Like It Like That’ rapper had clashed with some of her fans on social media after she didn’t attend the 2022 Grammys.
Tweets targeted at the rapper also included some that bashed her children, pushing her to delete her account.
The Bronx-born tweeted ‘I’m deleting my Twitter…’, before taking her twitter account down. Shortly after deleting her Twitter account, Cardi B went on Instagram Live to explain why she got “irritated.”
Posting from New York with her kids in the background, Cardi B asked why she would go to an award show at the moment especially since she only had one nomination.
“Do I have any new music. Why would I show up with one nomination? And I lost it anyways, so you wanted me to go to the Grammys, lose an award and me just be there smiling like, That’s great, that’s great”, she said.
Cardi B, who previously deactivated her Twitter in March 2021 and October 2020, told her demanding fans she only attends awards shows if she has a new song to perform
