FG CONSIDERS BAN ON MOTORCYCLES NATIONWIDE

The Federal Government has announced plans to ban motorcycles and mining activities in the country.

It was gathered that the decision is part of strategies to curb terrorist activities, checkmate loopholes, and cut off terrorists’ sources of funding.

Addressing State House Correspondents after the end of the National Security Council (NSC) meeting, chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mallam Abubakar Malami, said investigations are still ongoing, especially to establish the correlation between mining and motorcycles, which they suspect provide funding for the supply of arms to the terrorists.
