Emir Sanusi’s Dethronment: Nigerians Call For Restructuring Of Traditional Institution In The Country

A traditional ruler, Ọwá of Itapa-Ìjẹ̀ṣà in Osun State, Dr Olapade Agoro, has said there is an urgent need for the restructuring of traditional institution in the Country.

Dr Agoro, who is also a Christian Cleric and former Presidential Candidate of the defunct National Action Congress (NAC) made this call in Ibadan while featuring on the Oluyole 98.5FM Current Affairs Daily Live Programme, Ọ̀rọ̀ Tó Ń Lọ.
According to him, the present arrangement in which traditional rulers are being punished or deposed by State Governors for any wrongdoing is not in the best interest of the Country.
In his contribution, a Public Commentator, Alhaji Sufian Kazeem, who also corroborated Dr Agoro’s call for the restructuring of the traditional institution in the Country further condemned the recent deposition of Emir of Kano, Dr Sanusi Lamidi Sanusi.

The two guests charged frontline traditional rulers in the Country to come together under one umbrella for the progress of the traditional institution.
