EKITI GUBER: SEGUN ONI, 105-YEAR-OLD WOMAN CAST VOTE

The Social Democratic Party candidate in Ekiti State gubernatorial election, Segun Oni has cast his vote in Ifaki town.

BCOS reports that the former governor arrived at his polling unit at 10:10 a.m.

A 105-year-old woman, Felicia Fayomi was full of joy after casting her vote.

She said all she is interested in is the peaceful conduct of Ekiti gubernatorial election.

BCOS news also spoke with the Accord party candidate, Otunba Reuben Famuyibo at ward 12 unit 3 Igbeyin area Ado Ekiti where he cast his vote alongside his wife.

Famuyibo said he was happy at the peaceful conduct of the exercise.

No less than 418 accredited journalists from 91 media houses are covering the election while 174 National and domestic and International observers had also been accredited to monitor the exercise.

The police deployed over 17,000 officers while the NSCDC deployed over 9,000 officers.

Observers from the US Consulate led by Briana Olson were also at the polling unit.
