The Department of the State Services, DSS, has bowed to the July 29 order of a Federal High Court in Abuja as it presents some aides of the Yoruba Secessionist Leader, Sunday Igboho, before the Court.
This followed the fresh order issued by the Court that the detainees be produced in court on Monday, August 2, 2019.
The aides were arrested when DSS officials raided Igboho’s home on July 1, 2021, but the former sued the later on grounds that their fundamental human rights were being infringed on.
A Lawyer to the arrested Aides, Mr Pelumi Olajenbesi, sued the DSS, claiming that his clients have remained underground for weeks.
Justice Obiora Egwuatu had on July 29, 2021, issued a fresh order, following an appeal by the DSS Counsel, Mr Idowu Awo, that the Agency be given Monday, August 2, 2021, to comply with the order.
