 COVID-19 Vaccine to Arrive Oyo State March 15

The Executive Secretary, Oyo State Primary Healthcare Board, Dr Muyideen Olatunji has disclosed that the Astrazeneca vaccine will arrive the State by Thursday, March 15, 2021.

Dr Olatunji stated this while featuring on BCOS TV Breakfast Programme ‘AM120’ on Monday, March 8, 2021.

He said Nigeria has received 3.92 million doses of Astrazeneca vaccine, being the first shipment of the over 16 million doses allocated to the Country by the COVAX facility, where Oyo State is expecting a total of 750,000 doses when the full shipment arrives the Country.

According to him, frontline health workers would be the first to be vaccinated in the State

He added that in preparation for the arrival of vaccine, the State Government have put in place a well positioned central cold store to preserve the vaccine.
