In a bid to curtail the spread of the coronavirus Disease, Oyo State Government is working all round to have Diagnostic Centre for Covid-19 in the State.
This was revealed by members of the State COVID-19 Taskforce during the sensitization programme on the pandemic.
The team comprise: Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Alhaja Fausat Sanni; her Information counterpart, Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun; Executive Assistance to the Governor on Disability, Barr Ayodele Adekambi; Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor, Mr Taiwo Adisa, among others.
While sensitizing people at the Programme, a Public Health Practitioner, Dr Akinyode, said to curb the spread of the coronavirus, everyone has crucial role to play through personal hygiene and self isolation.
Dr Akinyode noted that Oyo State Government is more proactive in the prevention of COVID-19 but cautions the public in the way and manner they use face mask.
In their separate remarks, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Alhaja Fausat Sanni; Commissioner for Information, Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun and the Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor, Mr Taiwo Adisa, emphasized the need for everyone to support the Government in its efforts to curtail the pandemic.
BCOS reporter, Olamiposi Ishola, also reports that Stakeholders were also asked questions germaine to the containment of COVID-19.
Other issues discussed at the programme include symptoms of coronavirus disease and necessary steps to be taken by the public.
