 COVID-19: Oyo State Governor Imposes Dusk To Dawn Curfew

In his efforts to containg the Coronavirus pandemic in Oyo State, the State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, has imposed a dusk to dawn curfew from 7:00pm to 6:00am.

According to a tweet by the Governor on Friday, March 27, 2020, there is also ban on gatherings of more than ten people in the State.

Governor Makinde added that from Sunday night, all markets will be closed except those selling perishable food items.

He added that all Inter–State Transportation will be suspended except vehicles carrying food items, medical, pharmaceutical and petroleum products.

The State Governor also gave updates on the two new confirmed cases in the State, noting that the index case remains stable and under observation in the Isolation Unit at Agbami Chest Centre, Jericho, Ibadan.

Governor Makinde added that 84 Persons of Interest have been identified, and contact tracing and collection of samples have commenced; confirming that the number of cases in Oyo State is now three.
