Nigeria has recorded 176 new cases of the COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 5,621.
This was confirmed by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) late Saturday, May 16, 2020.
95 of the new cases recorded were in Lagos, 31 in Oyo, 11 in FCT and eight cases in Niger and Borno.
Six cases in Jigawa, four in Kaduna, three in Anambra, two in Edo, Rivers, Nasarawa and Bauchi and one case each in Benue and Zamfara.
As it stands, there are 5,621 cases of the coronavirus in the country with 1,472 recoveries and 176 deaths recorded.
