The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has recorded 490 more positive cases of Coronavirus from various parts of the Country.
The NCDC announced this in a tweet on its handle on Sunday night, June 28, 2020, while giving an update on the outbreak of the disease.
It explained that the new infections were reported from 19 States of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Of the new cases, Lagos State has 118, followed by Delta State which has 84; Ebonyi State has 68 and the FCT has 56.
Others States where new cases were reported included: Plateau with 39; Edo with 29; Katsina with 21; Imo with 13; Ondo with 12; Adamawa with 11; Osun with eight; Ogun with eight; Rivers with six; Kano with five; Enugu with three; Bauchi with three; Akwa Ibom with three; Kogi, Oyo and Bayelsa have one case each.
According to the Health Agency, this brings to 24,567 the total number of confirmed Coronavirus cases in the Country.
On the positive note, 382 more patients have been successfully treated and discharged from the various Isolation Centres, bringing the total number of discharged patients to 9,007.
However, the death toll from the disease had additional seven, totaling 565 deaths.
