 Courtesy Call: Makinde Acknowledges Donation of 3,376 Books, Valued At #2,815,375 By University Press To State School Libraries

The management of the University Press PLC led by the Managing Director, Mr Samuel Kolawole, has paid a courtesy visit to the Office of Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde.

Governor Makinde, while receiving the Management, acknowledged the part played in producing the books which the State Government distributed to Public Schools in the State.

He thanked the Management for donating 3,376 books, valued at Two Million, Eight Hundred and Fifteen Thousand, Three Hundred and Seventy-five Naira (#2,815,375:00k) to libraries of Primary and Secondary Schools in the State.

The State Governor stated that even though the State have dedicated 22% of its annual budget to education, the Government alone cannot fund the huge deficit in the education sector and so, became grateful to Corporate Organisations who contribute to the Sector as part of their corporate social responsibility.
