Coronavirus: UCH CMD Commends Makinde For Steps Taken So Far

The Chief Medical Director of the University College Hospital, UCH Ibadan, Professor Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo has commended the Oyo State Government for the various proactive steps taken by the Engr Seyi Makinde-led administration to curtail the spread of Coronavirus.

Also applauded is the Governor Makinde-led administration’s policy to make quality healthcare delivery one of its cardinal programmes.

The UCH CMD gave the commendation while participating in a special interview, shortly after featuring on ‘Ọ̀rọ̀ Tó Ń lọ’, a daily Current Affairs programme on Oluyole 98.5 FM, the Radio Channel of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, BCOS.

He said UCH has benefitted immensely from the State Government’s support, adding that on its own part, UCH has continued to collaborate with the State Task Force On COVID-19.

The Professor of Medicine and Gastroenterology and Hepatology who said the number of cases will keep increasing after testing, affirmed that 90 percent of COVID-19 Infections are Asymptomatic and will get resolved even without treatment.

Prof Otegbayo who earlier paid a courtesy visit to the BCOS Executive Chairman; Prince Dotun Oyelade, commended the BCOS Management for not relenting in the professional task of informing the people through all its Radio and Television Channels across the State.

The Corporation Executive Chairman, Prince Dotun Oyelade, in his remarks, expressed deep appreciations to the UCH CMD for creating time to feature on the Station’s Daily Network Radio Programme, ‘Ọ̀rọ̀ Tó Ń lọ’.
