Despite efforts by the Federal Government to flatten the curve of the Coronavirus pandemic ravaging the World, cases in Nigeria has increased further on Sunday, May 24, 2020, with 313 cases reported.
The new cases, confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Twitter, took the Country’s total infections to 7,389 out of which 2,263 have been discharged, with 226 losing their lives.
Data from the NCDC showed that the cases were spread across 12 States and the FCT with Lagos accounting for the highest number of infections for the day with 36 and 148 cases.
27 cases were from Rivers State; 19 from Edo, 13 from Kano, 12 from Ogun and 11 from Ebonyi State.
Nasarawa and Delta States had eight cases each; Oyo had seven; Plateau, six; Kaduna, five and Kwara State had four.
Three cases each were reported in Akwa-Ibom and Niger States, while only one was recorded in Anambra State.
