The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 684 new Coronavirus cases and five deaths.
The NCDC disclosed this via its Twitter handle on Friday night, June 26, 2020, with the total number of infections rising to 23,298.
The Agency confirmed the new cases in 18 States as Lagos State remains the epicentre of the virus with 259, while Oyo is trailing behind Lagos with 76 cases.
Statistics from the Health Agency shows that Katsina State has 69 cases; Delta State has 66; Rivers State has 46; Ogun State had 23; Edo and Osun States have 22 cases; 21 cases were recorded in Ebonyi, and the FCT recorded 20 cases.
Other States with new cases include: 16 in Kaduna State; 10 in Ondo State; 9 each in Imo and Abia State; 5 in Gombe State; 4 each in Plateau and Bauchi State, 2 in Ekiti State and one in Anambra State.
With these latest figures, the total number of discharged persons stands at 8,253, with 554 deaths so far.
