The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has disclosed that Coronavirus cases in the Country has increased with 389 new cases.
The increase was disclosed on the Twitter handle of the NCDC on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, despite efforts by authorities to flatten the curve of the pandemic.
This takes the country’s total infections to 8,733 out of which 2,501 have been discharged with 254 losing their lives.
Data from the NCDC showed that the cases were spread across 22 States and with Lagos State accounting for the highest number of infections for the day with 256 cases.
23 cases were reported from Katsina State, 22 from Edo State, 14 from Rivers State, 13 from Kano State and 11 each from Adamawa and Akwa-Ibom States.
Kaduna State had a record of seven new cases, Kwara and Nasarawa States had six; while two cases each were recorded from Gombe, Plateau, Abia, Delta, Benue, Niger, Kogi and Oyo.
Gombe was part of the new record with three cases, Osun had two new cases, while Anambra and Bayelsa States had one case each.
A case each was also recorded from Imo, Borno, Ogun and Anambra States.
